Point Place was founded in 2018 by seasoned commercial real estate veterans Travis Lacey and Nathan Long. Guided by the founding principle that building true wealth means investing in well-located real estate with long-term appreciation, Lacey and Long are meticulous in their approach to site selection, underwriting, and property management.
Travis has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience, specializing in multi-family, office and retail assets. Prior to co-founding Point Place Holdings, Travis oversaw a property management department within a regional retail development group, running the day-to-day operations of 25+ shopping centers totaling 3 million square feet and over 250 active leases. In this role, Travis was also responsible for the negotiation of 300+ leases ranging from national credit junior-anchors to local market operators.
Travis previously worked for a commercial real estate developer with a national footprint, overseeing the design and development of multiple Class A office buildings, as well as the design and development of mixed-use condo/retail projects in select markets throughout the Southeast. Travis and his wife, Kristin, live in Spartanburg, South Carolina with their three children.
Nathan has over fifteen years of corporate finance experience, with the last ten years exclusively in commercial real estate finance. He has secured over $500 million in debt and equity, sourced and managed the acquisition of over $300 million in cash-flowing properties and underwritten over 3 million square feet of development projects.
At a previous CRE company, Nathan engineered and launched the company’s first fund that acquired over $60 million of assets. Nathan holds an active CPA license and has a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from Clemson University. He and his wife, Caroline, live in Greenville, South Carolina with their four children.
